Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology

To detect and diagnose any oral health issue.

At The Fauchard Center, Dr. Gander maintains the oral and maxillofacial radiology practice where she specializes in imaging for dental implants using the most advanced technology to a better diagnosis and treatment guidance.
What is Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology?

Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology focuses on the performance and interpretation of diagnostic imaging used for examining primarily dental and adjacent structures.

To best detect and diagnose any oral health issue, an x-ray is often required. Most of the time standard x-rays can provide this valuable information. In some cases, an oral scan is necessary to visualize your teeth and facial bones in 3D.

Focus at The Fauchard Center

At The Fauchard Center, we use an advanced 3D x-ray imaging machine, called the 3D Accuitomo 170, to provide a highly refined image that allows us to visualize hard tissues within the jaw area.

We then use special software on the image to create a specialized treatment plan for your surgery to offer accurate and predictable surgery options.

All services in one location

All scans are taken right here at the center, and immediately following the scan, our oral and maxillofacial radiologist will explain the findings to you.

By having all the technology and expertise under one roof, you don’t have to travel to multiple locations, which is a common requirement.

Simplant-software

We use a special software designed for dental implants, called SIMPLANT, to create a specialized treatment plan for your surgery. This not only increases the safety of the procedure, but decreases the duration of the surgery.
