Dentists from all over the Denver area are welcome to use the center to treat patients. Beyond that, Dr. Erik Mathys and Dr. Debra Gander are in practice together here.
Erik C. Mathys, DDS, MS
Periodontist
Dr. Mathys is focused on empowering patients to become active participants in their oral healthcare. He offers periodontal or gum health care, dental implants, and esthetic periodontics. He holds his dental degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a specialty certificate in periodontics and Master of Science degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He has lectured both nationally and internationally and contributed to several scientific papers on various topics related to dental implants. He is board certified by the American Board of Periodontology and he is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He is also a recipient of the Fellowship of the American College of Dentists, which is bestowed on dentists who exhibit the highest level of professional integrity. In his spare time, he enjoys staying physically very active. He has donated time to various international dental missions to South America.
Debra L. Gander, DDS, MS
Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist
Dr. Gander maintains a practice limited to oral and maxillofacial radiology with emphasis in imaging for dental implants. She received a DDS with honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry. Following the practice of general dentistry, she completed specialty training in Dental Diagnostic Science at the University of Texas at San Antonio Health Sciences Center, Dental School. Prior to establishing her own practice, Dr. Gander held an appointment as an associate professor with the Department of Diagnostic and Biological Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver, School of Dental Medicine. She was elected president of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology for 2010. In addition to her practice, Dr. Gander shares her knowledge on advanced imaging with organizations and study clubs locally as well as nationally. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, high country hiking, and traveling with her family.
